Your Premium Dog House or Cat House requires very little maintenance.

Prior to shipping, the exterior finish has already been applied and all trim has been painted.

If your dog house or cat house needs cleaning, simply spray the exterior with a garden hose and clean inside with damp cloth.

Your dog house or cat house has been painted with premium Latex paint and should not need to be repainted for several years. Should you wish to paint your pet house, avoid applying paint to the GenStone finishes. Our cedar pet houses will naturally turn gray if left untreated and nothing further is needed. However if you like the rich tones of the cedar when you receive it we recommend sealing the house with Thompson’s Water Sealer annually.
