Cosmo

Story of Cosmo:

Cosmo was born September 5th, three days after his owner's birthday. He was an adorable Cockapoo puppy with blue eyes. He was brought into our family in November 1997. We gave him the best love and care anyone could give him. He loved to frolic through the grass and going for walks. He was a very curious puppy. His owner Katherine loved him so much every day when she left for school they would kiss each other good bye. When she returned home they would greet each other like they haven't seen each other in years but it was only a few hours ago.

Cosmo went though many adventures. Traveling to Lake Tahoe and scaling a very big mountain that we hiked. You can see his ears flowing in the wind when he romped up the trail. He would go everywhere with our family. He loved car rides and would love to stick his little head out the window and breath the fresh air.

In 2003 he was diagnosed with Glaucoma which was genetically carried down from his Cocker Spaniel parent. In 2004, Cosmo got terribly ill. We had to drive two hours away to Davis, CA where he was medically treated intensely for 9 days. A miracle was that he got better. In 2006, he was in the owner's older sister, Christina's wedding with his sister Snowflake a Bichon who is still going strong at 14 years old. In the last few months of his life he was getting weak and now completely blind. His quality of life just wasn't the same and he knew it. Tragically, on March 5, 2008 Cosmo passed away. That morning he became all of a sudden so weak that he could not even stand up. He was rushed to the Adobe Animal Hospital in Palo Alto, CA where they tried to treat him. They said he needed a blood transfusion. As they started working on him he went into cardiac arrest and was not able to make it. We are sad that he has left us but know that he lived a very happy and prosperous life.

Cosmo was 10 and a half years old. We've had him cremated and are going to celebrate his life with a Sunday brunch. Cosmo will be missed but never forgotten.
